Welcome to Bill Wright Elementary Physical Education!

It is great to be at Wright Elementary for this coming school year! This is will be my ninth year in education, and eighth year in PE, and my second year serving the students here at Wright!  I grew up in Indiana, growing up I played several different sports and I still like to play when I get the opportunity. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State and my Master’s degree in Sports Management from The University of Alabama! Roll Tide!

We like to stay active in our family! My husband Matt  is also a teacher and a coach and we have 2 children, an 8 and 5 year old! When I’m not in the gymnasium, you can find me cheering on all things Bama, or attending my husband’s or childrens games. I also enjoy coaching my kids' sports teams, practicing yoga, volunteering at church, getting to a beach any chance I get and spending time with my family! 

I’m very excited for the great things we are going to do in PE this year! Throughout the school year your child will have the opportunity to participate in many different educational activities that will foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. I believe that sport and exercise are great stress relievers and provide an opportunity to strengthen one’s self. I believe in the value of equipping students with lifelong skills that will cross over subject matter and develop character.
