Second Graders to perform musical program!

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History brought a traveling exhibit to Wright Elementary on Thursday where family and friends had an opportunity to participate in a variety of science exhibits. The event, titled "Family Science Festival," also featured the museum's mobile planetarium.

The Family Science Festival included several interactive experiences, live programming, collections and artifacts to engage students and their family members.

Wright Elementary Principal Joy Bailey's campus report at Thursday's school board meeting included student-led instruction where Board members learned about green screen technology. Students at Wright had made a green screen video thanking each Board member for his or her work for Weatherford ISD in conjunction with School Board Appreciation Month.

Wright Elementary would like to thank our WISD School Board Members for all of their hard work and dedication to ensure students have a safe and nurturing environment to succeed in the global community.

There will no classes on Monday, January 19th. Teachers and students will return to school on Tuesday, January 20th.
