World Day of Bullying Prevention

Weatherford ISD joins other school districts throughout the world in participating in Blue Shirt Day® World Day of Bullying Prevention on October 6.

This year’s international color is blue, and students and staff members are encouraged to wear blue on Monday, October 6 (the World Day for Bullying Prevention is always on the first Monday of October).

Weatherford ISD takes bullying and/or cyber bullying very seriously, and students are encouraged to report any errant behaviors by using the District’s Quick Tip form. These forms are available on the front of each of the District’s 11 campus webpages – and the link is called “Anonymous Tips.”

A “Report Bullying” hot link is also available on the District’s main website under Departments -- Student Services…or Departments -- Safety and Security.

Fall for the Arts Coin Fundraiser

The Performing Arts Association of Weatherford (PAAW) is hosting their annual classroom coin drive during the next two weeks. The PAAW is the organization that provides the funding for fine arts field trips to our students including theater performances at the Durant Auditorium and the annual 4th grade trip to the Bass Performance Hall. We appreciate the work they do to provide these fine arts experiences for our students!
