Angel Days provided customers an opportunity to support local elementary schools through direct contributions at local Belk stores. The Weatherford Belk location donated 100 percent of its proceeds from the program to Wright Elementary, and the funds are to be used to support the needs of the campus.
"We appreciate Belk and its partnership with our campus," Wright Elementary Principal Joy Bailey said. "We are planning on using this donation to help offset some costs for our playground improvements."
As part of the Angel Days program, local Belk customers donated to the program throughout the month of December. For a $1 contribution, customers received an ornament to place on the Belk angel tree in the store. For a $5 contribution, customers received an ornament for the angel tree and in exclusive angel pin.
