NOTICE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS
On May 21, 2015, from 4:00 until 5:00 PM, the District Education Improvement Council (DEIC) will be meeting at the Bowie Learning Center located at 900 N. Elm Street in Weatherford. The meeting will take place in the large meeting room. The DEIC is a group of stakeholders made up of parents, community members, teachers, and administrators who meet throughout the school year to receive information and provide input regarding a variety of district initiatives. One of the items on the May agenda will be the gathering of input for 2015-2016 application and utilization of Federal Title I funds. Your child’s school is one of five schools in Weatherford ISD that benefits from those supplemental funds to assist in improving student achievement. Should you be interested in joining the meeting on that afternoon to participate in providing input, please contact the district’s Federal Program Coordinator, Deana Lopez, so that we can plan for your attendance and provide you with information for your review prior to the meeting. AVISO A PADRES Y/O ACUDIENTES
El Consejo de Progreso Educativo del Distrito (DEIC por sus siglas en inglés) se reunirá el 21 de mayo de 2015 de 4:00 a 5:00 PM, en el salón de conferencias del Bowie Learning Center localizado en el 900 N. Elm Street en Weatherford. El DEIC es un grupo compuesto por padres, miembros de la comunidad, maestros y administradores que se reúnen a través del año escolar para recibir información y opinar acerca de las distintas iniciativas del distrito escolar. Uno de los asuntos a tratar en la agenda de mayo es obtener ideas y opiniones acerca de la solicitud y utilización de los Fondos Federales de Titulo I para el año 2015-2016. Nuestro distrito recibe estos fondos suplementarios que se usan para ayudar a incrementar el desempeño académico de los estudiantes en las escuelas denominadas Titulo I. Dichas escuelas son Crockett Elementary, Curtis Elementary, Ikard Elementary, Seguin Elementary and Wright Elementary. Si están ustedes interesados en participar de dicha reunión, por favor contacten a Deana Lopez, Coordinador de Fondos Federales del distrito, para poderles suministrar información que ustedes necesitarán revisar antes de la reunión.
